Welcome back!
A few of you have requested information about our gift registry. Well, after 10 years of loving coupling, we pretty much have all the typical things a couple might need to begin a life together and, as such, we thought a gift registry to a bedding & bath shoppe or a kitchen mega-center to be more-or-less unnecessary.
That being said, we're definitely not above graciously accepting endowments, should your heart and coinpurse lead you toward granting generosities...
For those who've asked, we will, unfortunately, not have time to do a full honey moon this year; however, we're planning a rather lovely trip across the pond next year. And so, should you feel the blessed nudge of good Christian charity (or pagan...or shinto...or atheist charity-- we don't discriminate) and wish to contribute to our cause, please feel free to donate via the link below (in lieu of the traditional set of His & Her bath towels)... We will, naturally, have a box for cards and written well- wishes at the event...
Otherwise, please just bring yourself and your love for us, and join us in celebration and matrimonial mirth making!
For your dining pleasure, Cornish Game Hen, Atlantic Salmon, Leg of Lamb and Peasant Loaves, will be provided. Friar Tuck's homebrewed Cider and Meade will also feature.
In addition to the house meats and sides, we would like attendees to offer of their own tables--in the spirit of the Merry Men of Olde--a dish to share with other guests.
Some suggestions to bring ~
As you are likely aware by now, this nuptial event is Robin Hood themed--for simplicity's sake, we're going with Robin as a landed vassal of Richard I, turned outlaw, sometime toward the tail end of the Third Crusade. As such, we request you attend this ceremony in your most splendid 12th century best! (Actually, we have no intention of being sticklers about dates when it comes to medieval-era attire; and since most of you are frequent Bay Area Renaissance Festival attendees, please feel free--in fact, we vehemently recommend you--to arrive in your favorite Ren Faire threads.)
For those few of you in need of a little inspiration , below you'll find some links to Ye Olde Costume Shoppes and various medieval apparel outlets. We are NOT suggesting attendees purchase a costume from any of these sites; they're merely being listed to generate potential ideas--particularly for the sole attendee who has no idea what a Ren Fest is.
Extra credit for attendees who come attired as characters from Robin Hood (Disney's Robin Hood, Costner's Prince of Thieves, Brooks' Men in Tights, Flynn's Adventures of Robin Hood, or any of the BBC iterations...we're going to pretend that Russel Crowe/Ridley Scott Robin Hood never happened...)
